Rom Family Chiropractic
WE ARE THANKFUL FOR ALL OF YOU, WHO CHOOSE ROM FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC TO BE A PART OF YOUR JOURNEY OF GETTING AND STAYING HEALTHY!!
Before we get to the links:
The health and safety of our patients and team is our highest priority. We are continuing to schedule by appointment only to allow for the thorough cleaning of surfaces between visits. We are limiting the number of people in the office at any given time, and we are following other suggested guidelines for safety and prevention to ensure a clean, stress-free environment for everyone.
If this crisis has showed us anything it’s how important it is to have a high level of durable baseline health and resilience—now more than ever!
Here are the links from our Rom Family Chiropractic Facebook page and all the good stuff we posted over the last week!
We like to post things on a wide variety of health topics, but it can all be broken down into 5 broad categories:
- Being well-adjusted
- Eating well
- Moving well
- Thinking well
- Sleeping well
Here are the links we posted from last week:
Inconsistent Sleep Times Linked to Higher BMI Percentile in Toddlers
“Establishing a consistent sleep schedule for a toddler can be one of the most challenging aspects of child rearing, but it also may be one of the most important.”
Sleep is the ultimate ‘growth & repair’ behavior. You cannot be in ‘growth & repair mode’ and ‘stress mode’ at the same time!!
If you and/or your child is over-stressed, and stuck in stress mode (aka subluxated), then growth & repair simply doesn’t happen.
Chiropractic care can help!! We’ve helped many parents and kids of all ages win this battle!
If this is something you are struggling with, give us a call!
Eyes of the Body: Understanding Proprioception
“While senses such as sight convey information to the brain from the outside world, proprioception allows us to perceive the inner state of our bodies. Unlike the other senses, there is no single sensory organ, nor are we consciously aware of proprioceptive signals that the brain receives.
Proprioception is vital to our daily life, however. It’s a sense that we depend on very deeply. Without it we couldn’t walk or stand up.”
Chiropractic adjustments have been shown to increase proprioception, which means it can help someone better live in his/her body!!
Do you want to take your health to the next level? Chiropractic can help!
COVID Stress Boosts Kids’ Anxiety, Overeating
“Children are showing symptoms of increased anxiety, depression, and even self-injury and substance use. Anxiety is intensified by the challenges of remote learning, concerns about becoming ill, and isolation from peers, leading to decreased coping skills.”
Overeating is only a symptom. The real problem is much bigger.
Unfortunately, we’ve been seeing the toll on FAMILY health that OVERWHELMING STRESS creates–and it starts in the nervous system! You simply CANNOT BE HEALTHY if you are in a state of never-ending stress!
With Chiropractic care, we’ve been helping more and more FAMILIES keep this stress from accumulating and overwhelming their systems and their health, and we’ve seen great results!!
If you’ve been looking for a way to not just AVOID degeneration, decay, and dysfunction, but to IMPROVE OVERALL HEALTH & FUNCTION–that is what we do–we can help!!
